The "Bird Photography in Peru" webinar will be ready next week. I think I will not do this live, but rather as a premiere on Youtube and Facebook simultaneously. It is published at a particular date and time, and I'd be present at that time to answer questions as people are watching
it.
There are a few reasons for this.
1. There have been at the most 10 people or so hanging in untill the end of the webinars as they are live. So the audience have not been very large.
2. English is not my native language, so I stumble on the words sometimes. It shall be easier to edit a pre-recorded webinar to get a better flow.
3. The image quality and the sound with the BeLive platformn has been pretty crappy. It is possible that a paid Zoom account would look better, but for the time being I don't have the money to invest in that.
I am blogging more now, and will do more of this, so this mean, if I continue with the blogging, that you shall get a summary posts every Friday.
I will also do an announcement with in a seperate newsletter when the next webinar is ready for broadcasting.
I kind of like the reach with short video updates Live on Facebook ,so I am planning to test wiht daily updates on my
FB profile at 12:45 Peruvian Time (GMT-5H) and at 7.45 PM (GMT-5H) on the
Kolibri Expeditions FB page in order to cover different time zones, as well as seeing what kind of reach I can get at different times. These updates will only be 5-10 minutes approximately. Let's see how this works for a few days! First one in a about an hour.
I'll also post the short videos on
Kolibri Expeditions' YouTube Channel for those of you, who stay away from the Zuck (good for you).
