No, you didn't. 

You used to be on my old mailing list, some 10-15 years ago. A mailing list that had been harvested through birding sites and birding list servers. Such practices are not OK today (if ever), and I have long scrapped this strategy of cold emailing. I didn't know better back then. 

 

This was before Facebook and Social Media which was a much better way to connect with people. Until, recently that is... 
Now with new algorithms it is getting increasingly difficult to connect even with the fans of our Kolibri Expeditions and 7 Wonders Birding Facebook Pages. 

 

Back then there were a lot of people who liked my emails from those days. After all, if you are on the list you are supposedly a birdwatcher.  

That is the dilemma: How can I connect with you again? Perhaps by sending only a one-off email to see if you are still interested. That is why you are getting this email.

 

You have likely forgotten about me, so I do apologize for cold connecting with you this way.
