Happy Easter !
This will be
short.
Tomorrow is Easter Friday aka Long Friday. I am old enough to remember the most boring day of the year. When I was a kid in Sweden, Long Friday was indeed a very long boring day without entertainment. It was a public holiday and everything was closed. No cinemas or restaurant open and no entertainment on TV. Even though Sweden was a progressive country with lots of freedom, our Lutheran culture still had much influence how our customs were formed.
I guess we
simply relied on each other and simply just spent time together as a family playing boardgames and some music.
There is a similar situation for me tomorrow on Easter Friday. I had wanted to get my midweek bullet newsletter out to you, but at Puerto Inca Resort some 600k south of Lima, where I am spending Easter with my family, there is no wifi, and my newletter will simply not be ready. I could either go nuts with FOMA or I could simply shrug and spend some Quality
Time with my family. It will be the only day I am totally disconnected. Me thinks, they shall enjoy that, and although I already feel withdrawals symptoms I think I shall be able to cope.
So If you are waiting to hear more about The Big Month we are doing in Peru in October, and which you can join entirely or parts of, you just have to bite your finger nails a few more days. The juicy will be releaved soon. Having said that, as number of the different sections are
already up the calendar on the Kolibri Expeditions website. We are aiming for 1100 species.
If you missed my previous bullet posts you may check it out on GunnarEngblom.com. The weirdest birding company newsletter you ever seen! It has birding of course, health, running, funny videos, podcast recommendations, personal development tips and music.
Dig in! And have a coffee! It is good for
you.
